The Making of Ipswich, The Call of its Minster

Friday 17 January 2025 – 7.30pm
Let Richard Edgar Wilson lead you through the story of Ipswich and its soon-to-be
minster church. An evening of entertainment through story and music tracing the
historical and cultural history of Ipswich from the medieval to the present
day, including world premieres of works written for the occasion.
Performed by musicians from Ipswich Minster, Framlingham College & Ipswich
School. Featuring performances from the Ravenscroft Consort and Kathryn Parry.

Church Open Day, café, exhibits and Tour

Saturday 18 January 2025 – all day
The soon-to-be minster church welcomes all people to explore and enjoy this
beautiful church. There will be a café open all day with children activities, sculpture
and stained glass exhibits, as well as workshops for singing and bell ringing. A free
church tour till take place at 12:00.
Children’s Singing Workshop

Saturday 18 January 2025 – 10:30am to 11:30am
Join the music team for an hour of singing and music making in the church. Learn
songs, play junk percussion, play music games. Parents are welcome to listen whilst
enjoying refreshments from the Minster café.

Bell Ringing Workshop

Saturday 18th January 2025 – 10:15 to 13:30
Come and explore the bell tower and ringing chamber, and while you’re at it try out
the incredible English artform that is church bellringing. Chat to and learn from
experienced bellringers, and enjoy ringing the region’s most famous set of bells!

Minster, led by the Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.
